CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men’s and women’s soccer teams were named to the 2009 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) College Team Academic Award, the organization announced recently.

Coastal Carolina is one of just 97 teams to have both its men’s and women’s soccer teams received this honor.

The men’s team, led by Shaun Docking, received the honor for the fourth time in school history. The women’s team, led by Rohan Naraine, received the honor for the eighth straight season.

The teams earned the spot thanks to having at least a cumulative 3.0 grade-point average during the 2008-09 academic year.
