Tolan Named to the All_Big South Women's Soccer Tournament Team

Coastal Carolina women’s soccer freshman Morgan Tolan (Ocean City, Md./Stephen Decatur) was named to the All-Tournament Team for the 2004 Big South Championships held Nov. 4-6 in Charleston, S.C.

Tolan, who is normally a forward, stepped up to play in goal in the quarterfinal game against Birmingham-Southern Nov. 4 as sophomore Jaclyn Stoll (Fairfax Station, Va./Hayfield Secondary) was sitting out due to a red card suspension. Tolan had four saves on the night and held Birmingham-Southern scoreless for 68 minutes until the Panthers scored three second half goals to defeat the Lady Chanticleers 3-1. It was Tolan’s second career game in goal, as she had one save in the 6-0 shutout of Erskine Nov. 2.
