Coastal Carolina women's soccer player Amy Haggard has been named the Coastal Carolina Athlete of the Week for Nov. 2.

Haggard recorded two shutouts in goal in helping the Chanticleers defeat Gardner-Webb Oct. 29 and Winthrop Oct. 31. In the 2-0 win over Gardner-Webb, Haggard had three saves and recorded her fourth shutout of the season. Then in the 1-0 win over Winthrop, Haggard had four saves, including a diving stop of a Lia Gordon shot in the first half that kept the game deadlocked at 0-0 at the half. Haggard now has 19 career shutouts, which is a school record, and the two wins helped the Chanticleers moved from seventh to fourth in the conference standings.

Coastal Carolina will face VMI in the Big South Tournament quarterfinals Thursday, Nov. 5 at 11:30 a.m., at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, S.C.
