Women's Soccer Clinches Share of Big South Regular Season Title

With VMI's 3-2 overtime loss to Presbyterian, the Coastal Carolina University women's soccer team has clinched at least a share of the 2008 Big South regular-season title.

Coastal Carolina needs a win or a tie against High Point Saturday, Nov. 1 to win the outright title.  Game time is at 2 p.m., in High Point, N.C.  The Chanticleers also could use a Charleston Southern tie or loss against Presbyterian that night for an outright title.  Charleston Southern owns the tiebreaker against Coastal Carolina due to the 4-1 win over the Chants Oct. 14.

This is the third time in school history that Coastal Carolina has claimed at least a share of the conference crown.
