Chanticleers Honor Famili and Leftwich

CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team honored its two seniors, Daniella Famili and Brenna Leftwich, Tuesday evening at the CCU Soccer Stadium.

Leftwich has played in 50 matches garnering starts in 29. For her Chanticleer career, Leftwich has tallied over 2,600 minutes of time on the pitch and scored three goals with one assist. She was named to the Big South All-Freshman team in 2014. Leftwich was recently named to the 2016-17 Sun Belt Commissioner's list for having a GPA higher than 3.50.

Famili sits fourth on the CCU all-time list with 30 career goals, 71 career points and 74 games started. As a freshman, she was named to the Big South All-Freshman team. Famili won Big South All-Conference first team accolades as a sophomore and tied for the team lead in goals with nine. In 2016 she led the team with nine goals to help the Chants make the Sun Belt championship match. She also earned Sun Belt All-Conference first team and first team All-South Region. Famili's senior season started being tabbed the Sun Belt's Preseason Player of the Year. On the season Famili has scored nine goals to lead the conference and was named to the 2016-17 Sun Belt Commissioner's list.

Leftwich and Famili will close out their regular season careers on the road as they travel to Boone, N.C., Sunday (Oct. 22) to take on Appalachian State.
