Last Time Out
The Chanticleers notched their first victory on the young season in a thrilling 4-2 come from behind win over College of Charleston. Ashley Day had the eventual game winner in the 57th minute when she controlled a rebound and fired through traffic to find the back of the net. The win was the first at Coastal Carolina for new head coach Tammy DeCesare after taking over the program this past spring.
Road Warriors
Coastal Carolina stays on the road again this week with a full slate of games. The Chants start the week on Wednesday as the team travels to take on Campbell. Then on Friday the Chants will take on host school UNC -Wilmington at the UNCW Hilton Garden Inn Invitational. Finally on Sunday, the women will make one more trip to the UNCW Hilton Garden Inn Invitational to take on Elon.

As The Ball Bounces
Three of Coastal Carolina's four goals against College of Charleston came off of rebounds in the box being gathered and fired home by Anna Tupy, Hannah Brown, and Ashley Day.
Youth Movement
The Chanticleer freshmen class has made an impact in their first three collegiate contests. At least two freshmen have started each game and midfielder/forward Christina Stern has been in the starting lineup for each game. The freshmen have also accounted for 17 of the Chants 31 shots on the season.
Climbing The Charts
Senior Anna Tupy has recorded one goal on the season (CofC) upping her career goal tally to 11; thus, moving her into a tie for ninth with Christian Wise (2000-02) on the Chanticleers all-time career goals list.
Coastal Third in Preseason Poll
Coastal Carolina team was picked to finish third in the Big South Conference annual preseason poll, as voted on by the league's head women's soccer coaches.
