The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team is into their second week of practice with first year Chanticleer head coach Paul Hogan and are intensely preparing for a home exhibition match against South Carolina State this Friday, Aug. 12.
GoCCUSports.com will be featuring a look inside the Chants practice all week leading up to the exhibition match with South Carolina State. Leading off the week is an interview with coach Hogan discussing his impressions of the squad after a week of preseason practice. Also, Hogan gives insight on which of the 15 Chanticleer newcomers (13 freshmen/2 transfers) has impressed on the pitch during their first week in Conway.
Additionally, GoCCUSports along with coach Hogan and assistant coach Rich Stoneman will breakdown the Chanticleers position by position throughout the week. First up will be the forwards on Tuesday, followed by the midfielders on Wednesday and the backline and goalkeepers on Thursday.
Coastal will open its regular season against Jacksonville at the North Florida Tournament in Jacksonville, Fla. on Aug. 19 at 5 p.m.
