Women's Soccer Announces 2003 Signees

CONWAY, S.C.—Coastal Carolina women's soccer coach Karrie Miller announced Monday the signing of seven recruits to national letters- of- intent during the spring signing period. The new signees are Heather Barnes, Erin Blevins, Madeline Bobo, Simone Borucinski, Kristine Kingsbury, Katie Weber, and Shauna Wolf.

"I am excited about this incoming class", Miller said. They will bring alot of talent and experience to this upcoming Coastal Carolina women's team".

Heather Barnes D Fr. West End, N.C./Pinecrest High School
A four-year starter for coach Steve Menendez at Pinecrest High School... named 2002 Southeastern 4A Conference Player of the Year and Second Team All- Cape Fear Region Team in her junior year... named first team All-Southeastern 4A Conference in her sophomore season, where she was also named Second Team All-Region.

Erin Blevins F Jr. Xenia, Ohio/Coker College (Xenia High School)
A transfer from Coker College in Hartsville, South Carolina... Named First Team All- Carolina-Virginias (CVAC) Conference in 2001 and 2002... Named CVAC Freshman of the Year in 2001... also ran Cross Country at Coker where she was Third Team All-Conference... four-year letterman and starter at Xenia High School... named First Team All-Western Ohio League (WOL) and First Team All-Area four times.

Madeline Bobo D/MF Fr. Memphis, Tenn./Ridgeway High School
A four-year varsity letterwinner and starter for the Road Runners... named Tennessee Secondary Schools Athletic Association (TSSAA) all- state team in her senior, junior and sophomore years... selected Who's Who Among High School Students in her sophomore, junior and senior years.

Simone Bourcinski D/MF Fr. Kanberra, Australia/Daramalan College
A member of the Canberra Eclipse club team that finished third in 2002 for the Australian Women National League... also selected a finalist for the Youth Australian training squad for the 2002 Women Youth World Cup in Canada.

Kristine Kingsbury MF Fr. Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville High School
A three-year letterwinner for Kempsville High School... an All-Virginia Beach Honoree in her sophomore and junior seasons.

Katie Weber D/F Fr. Lexington, Ky./Dunbar High School
A four-year letterwinner at Dunbar High School... named All-City and Second Team All-State in her senior season... a member of the Lexington F.C. Premier Club Team who were State Champions in 2000, 2001 and 2002.

Shauna Wolf F Fr. Mansfield, Ohio/Clear ForkHigh School
A four-year letterwinner at Clear Fork High School... a first team All-District, All-State and Player of the Year selection in her senior season where she was the leading scorer in the Mansfield Area... also named to the All-Region/American Adidas Team.
