CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina University women's lacrosse team was one of 84 Division I women's lacrosse teams to be named an Academic Honor Squad for the 2014 season by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). The honor marks the second consecutive year that the Chanticleer women's lacrosse program has been honored for its academic achievements by the IWLCA.

The IWLCA awards Academic Squad honors to any team that completes the academic year with a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The Coastal women's lacrosse squad finished the 2013-14 academic year with a team GPA of 3.207.

In addition to the team honor, 23 individual members of the Chanticleer women's lacrosse team were named to the Big South Presidential Honor Roll for posting a 3.0 or higher GPA for the 2013-14 Academic Year.

Morgan Gott, Jen Koss Mikayla Sweeney, Rachel Wagner, Margaret Wright and Lily Yednock were named to CCU's President's List for the spring 2014 semester for achieving perfect 4.0 GPAs. Koss and Wright also made CCU's President List for the fall 2013 semester.

Coastal Carolina is one of six Big South schools to be named a 2014 IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, and one of three conference schools to have received the honor each of the past two years.
