Charlotte, N.C. - Freshman attacker Keri White of the Coastal Carolina women's lacrosse team was named the Crons Brand Big South Conference Women's Lacrosse Freshman of the Week, the league announced Monday. The honor marks the first of her career, and the second Freshman of the Week nod that the women's lacrosse team has received this season.

In Coastal's game against Detroit Mercy last Friday, White tallied three goals, one assist, three draw controls and three ground balls. White's second goal of the game, which came at 3:23 of the second half, helped pull the Chants within one after Detroit had taken a two goal lead. Her final tally came with only 52 seconds remaining in the game and proved to be the game-winner.

White is currently tied for the team lead in goals with 15. She also has three assists on the season, placing her second on the team in total points with 18.

The Chanticleers will begin the conference portion of their schedule when they travel to Clinton, S.C. this Saturday to take on Presbyterian College in a 1 p.m. match.
