The freshman midfielder led the Chants in shots, getting off 15 and placing nine on frame. Geiter ended the week with the team lead in both shots (33) and shots on goal (23). Defensively, Geiter tallied three caused turnovers and scooped four ground balls.

Geiter’s five goals last week brings her season total to 12, putting her in a tie for third place on the team, while her 13 points ranks fourth. Geiter is one of three Chanticleers to have recorded a point in seven of Coastal’s eight games this season.

The 2-6 (0-0) Chanticleers end their three-game road stand this Saturday when they travel to Virginia Tech to take on the 4-4 (0-2) Hokies in a 1 p.m. game. Virginia Tech won the last meeting between the two teams, defeating the Chanticleers 18-8 last season in Brooks Stadium.
