CONWAY - As we count down to the inaugural game, each day GoCCUSports.com will profile the lighter side of Coastal Lacrosse. Today's student-athletes to be profiled are Jen Koss and Charlotte O'Leary.

#8 Jen Koss

What is your personal goal for the inaugural season? To be a leader on and off the field for the freshmen and also my fellow upperclassmen. And of course to do well on the playing field!

What got you started in lacrosse? I began playing for my middle school in 7th grade.  I had no idea what lacrosse even was, so I was curious.

What is your major, and what are your plans after college? I'm majoring in Political Science and Pre-Law and plan to attend law school after I graduate from CCU, looking to possibly go into sports law.

Where is your hometown? Columbus, N.J.

What's your position responsible for on the field? I play attack, so my position is mostly responsible for shooting, assisting, and setting up plays.

How do you help the team stay focused during the season? Keeping in mind that the practice and lifting times that we do get are valuable and need to be used efficiently and constructively.

Who is your role model? Athlete-wise, Shawn Johnson is an awesome role model.

What is your biggest pet peeve? When people are late!

What is your favorite pre-game meal? Grilled Chicken Caesar wrap.

Do you have any superstitions? I don't have any superstitions.

What is your favorite moment in your lacrosse career? Definitely becoming a part of this new program!

What's your guilty pleasure music-wise? Anything 90's. N*SYNC, Aaron Carter, Backstreet Boys....

If you could be an animal what would you be? A turtle.

Why did you choose the number you wear? I've been wearing number 8 since sophomore year of high school- just like the number.

Why did you choose Coastal? I love Myrtle Beach and very few other schools had a Pre-Law minor available. CCU is the perfect size in and out of the classroom; my classes have on average 25 kids and I can get anywhere on campus in ten minutes.

#9 Charlotte O'Leary

What is your personal goal for the inaugural season? My personal goal for the season is to be proud of the way the team plays after every game. Being able to say we gave it our all every minute on the field means a lot to me.

What got you started in lacrosse? My dad coached boys lacrosse, and both my older siblings played so of course I wanted to be just like them.

What is your major, and what are your plans after college? My major is marine science. After college I want a job but I am still not sure exactly what I want to do.

Where is your hometown? Holderness, N.H.

What's your position responsible for on the field? I play midfield so the position is responsible for both offense and defense on the field and mainly the transition up and down the field.

How do you help the team stay focused during the season? I try to lead by example at practice and on the field, working hard all the time.

Who is your role model? My dad because of his work ethic and drive to succeed.

What is your biggest pet peeve? People eating food off my plate.

What is your favorite pre-game meal? Chicken Parm.

Do you have any superstitions? No I do not.

What is your favorite moment in your lacrosse career? Winning in overtime against our rival school in high school, taking away their undefeated record.

What's your guilty pleasure music-wise? Country.

If you could be an animal what would you be? A cheetah.

Why did you choose the number you wear? I have been that number the past two years, but I like it because it is Rondo's number.

Why did you choose Coastal? I chose Coastal because of the marine science program, and also because I thought it would be fun to be part of a new program.
