Coastal was able to draw even, as Courtney Genovese and Maggie Carr scored back-to-back goals in the waning minutes of the second half. Gallagher's third goal proved to be the game-winner, as she found the back of the net on a free-position shot.

Yeager tacked on a goal with 2:18 left on the clock, putting the Eagles ahead 8-6. O'Leary had a team-high two goals for the Chants. Alexander, Carr and Crowther were also key contributors on offense for CCU, adding a goal and an assist each.

Defensively, Coastal was led by Maddy Ciardi, who caused a turnover and scooped three ground balls. Karley Barreno was also solid on defense, winning a draw control, causing a turnover and scooping a ground ball.

In net, Coastal junior Jenna Stover had a game-high 10 saves, while Alaina Girani tallied seven saves for Winthrop.
