Coastal Carolina Falls to George Mason 12-6, Keri White Scores 100th Goal
CONWAY - -- Senior Keri White `s 100th goal was not enough to propel the Coastal Carolina women's lacrosse team, the Chants dropped it match at Brooks Stadium to George Mason Saturday.
The Chanticleers record is now even at 3-3, while the Patriots improved to 3-3 on the year.
Crowther then gave CCU the 3-0 lead on a free positon shot, for her thirteenth goal.
George Mason then answered back to make it 3-3 with goals by Lindsey Tangeman (20:25), Chachi Kelehan (15:49) and Hailey Johnson (11:08).
Kyger then assisted on back to back goals to push the lead to 5-3, the first feeding Madeline Bromley at the 5:02 mark and the second to White 22 seconds later.
White then with 1:28 left in the first have to push the Coastal lead to 6-3. Mason then scored with 54 seconds left to make it 6-4 at the half.
The Chanticleers went into an offensive slump for the second half of the match and was unable to match any of the eight George Mason goals.
Coastal Carolina hits the road for the next four games, starting with #19 Elon, the last non-conference opponent, on March, 24 in Elon, N.C.
