Maness Named Big South Women's Golfer of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Coastal Carolina junior Ann Maness (Galivants Ferry, S.C.) has been selected as the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Women’s Golfer of the Week for events played Oct. 11-17, it was announced today by the League office.

Maness took home the second medalist honor of her career by posting a three-round total of 218 (73-70-75) to win the LPGA International Xavier Invite, finishing 2-over par to win by one stroke.  She helped the Lady Chanticleers to their best standing of the fall season, as the squad finished runner-up in the 14-team event with an aggregate score of 909.  Maness has been Coastal’s top finisher in all three events this year.

The Lady Chanticleers are quickly back on the course, playing in the Lady Paladin Invitational, Fri.-Sun., Oct. 19-21. The tournament is being played at the Furman University Golf Club in Greenville, S.C.
