Women's Golf Moves Up To 10th Through Two Rounds of Lady Paladin Invite
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Coastal Carolina women's golf team shot the fourth-best round of the day and moved up to 10th after two rounds of the Lady Paladin Invitational, Oct. 7. The 54-hole tournament is being played at the Furman Golf Club (Par 72-6,103 yards) in Greenville, S.C.
Another windy day prevailed, as for the second straight day no team broke 300. Northwestern leads by 10 shots with a total of 305. Florida International fired the best round of the day with a 301 and moved up to second at 615. Augusta State sits in third at 617, while the Lady Chanticleers shot a 308 and have 629 through 36 holes.
Freshman Aruka Felgueroso (Madrid, Spain/Blume) is in second through two rounds with an even par 144. Alice Kim of Northwestern leads with a four-under 140. CCU's next player was sophomore Ann Maness (Galivants Ferry, S.C./Aynor), who improved to a second round 75 and is tied for 22nd at 156.
The Lady Chanticleers play their final round of the three-day event on Sun., Oct. 8, starting at 9:00 off No. 10 tee. They will play with Minnesota and UNC Greensboro.
