Conway - Coastal Carolina University women’s golf team made a mark during their first season in the Sun Belt Conference, but also made their mark nationally in the classroom as well.
The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) released their Top-25 All-Scholar Team Grade Point Average (GPA) Award and the Chanticleers finished among the top 10 among all NCAA Division I teams with a 3.820 team GPA, which had them ranked seventh in the nation.
The Chants had all seven players post better than a 3.0 GPA. Each member of the team was either named to the CCU Dean’s List or President’s List.
