CONWAY - Five former Coastal Carolina University women's golf student-athletes were selected to the Big South Conference All-Decade teams, the conference announced on Wednesday. Part of the Big South's 30th anniversary celebration, the all-decade teams were determined by conference administrators and fan voting.

Kim Chase, Sue Tollefson and Laura Thijssen represented the Chanticleers on the 1990s all-decade team. Chase was Coastal's first three-time all-conference honoree, earning the plaudit in 1990, 1991 and 1992. In addition, Chase was the 1992 Big South Championship individual medalist, becoming the first Chanticleer to capture the conference's individual crown, as she led Coastal to its first Big South title.

Tollefson was Coastal's first four-time All-Big South honoree, collecting the award in 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1993. Thijssen earned all-conference recognition in 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1997.

Ann Maness and Aruka Felgueroso were selections to the 2000s all-decade team. Maness was named the conference's Freshman of the Year in 2006 and went on to win the individual title at the Big South Championship with a 217 54-hole tally, including a tournament record round of 68. Maness was named All-Big South in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, while also garnering five career Big South Golfer of the Week honors. In addition to her 2006 conference title, Maness also claimed medalist honors at the 2004 LPGA International Xavier Invite.

Felgueroso is regarded as the best to ever tee up a ball for the Chanticleers. A four-time All-Big South selection (2007-10) and three-time Golfer of the Year selection (2007-10), Felgueroso holds the CCU records for single season scoring average (73.43 average in 2009-10) and career scoring average (74.63). A 2007 Golfweek All-American, Felgueroso won the 2009 Big South Championship individual title with a 2-over par 218. She also won five additional individual event titles during her time in Conway. She became the first Chanticleer individual to earn a berth to an NCAA Regional, tying for 10th at the 2007 East Regional and tying for 13th at the 2008 Central Regional. She also competed in NCAA Regionals in both 2009 and 2010 as the Chanticleers advanced to the postseason as a team.
