Women's Golf Closes SBC Tournament Play with a 301
Muscle Shoals, Ala. - The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team completed play at their first Sun Belt Conference Tournament by shooting a 301 on the final day of action.
The 301 gives the Chanticleers a three-day total of 919 (307-311-301) and gives them a ninth place finish.
Malene Krolboll Hansen finished off a solid performance with a one-under 71 during today's round. Her tournament total was an even-par 216 (73-72-71). She finished fourth overall.
Marie Lunackova also had a solid performance finishing with an even-par 72. She shot a 224 (75-77-72) over the three days and finished the tournament tied for 19th.
Like Hansen and Lunackova, Damla Bilgic had her best round of the tournament during today's action. She finished the day with a six-over 78 and her three-day total was 239 (82-79-78), placing her in a tie at 42nd.
Victoria Parker shot an eight-over 80 in today's action to finish with a tournament total 240 (77-83-80). She finished tied for 44th. CCU's final player was Stephanie Henning who shot a nine-over 81. She had a 248 (83-84-81) for the tournament.
Troy University, who took over first place in the tournament's second day of action, shot an 878 and held on for a six-stroke lead over Georgia State who shot 883.
Texas State and Appalachian State tied for third, but were only three shots back of Georgia State with an 886. Arkansas State rounded out the top five with a tournament total of 900.
The second five were led by Little Rock and South Alabama who both shot a 901 and Georgia Southern's 916 was three strokes better than CCU's 919. Louisiana-Monroe shot a 949.
