Women's Golf in Seventh After First Day of SBC Tournament

Muscle Shoals, Ala. - Day One Results

The Coastal Carolina women's golf team shot a 307 (+19) on the opening day of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament and will begin the second day of action sitting in seventh place.

Malene Krolboll Hansen stands tied for ninth place overall after shooting a one-over 73 (36-37) in the opening round.

Marie Lunackova had a solid three-over 75 (38-37) on the first day of action and is tied for 19th.

Victoria Parker is tied for 36th after shooting a five-over 77 (38-39).

Damla Bilgic shot a 10-over 82 (40-42) and is tied for 44th and Stephanie Henning's 11-over 83 (39-44) has her tied for 46th.

Texas State shot a three-under 285 to lead the tournament and is two shots in front of Troy, who finished with a one-under 287. Little Rock stands third with a 291, and only two shots back in fourth is Arkansas State with a 283. Georgia State (296) and Appalachian State (299) are in front of CCU.

Georgia Southern (309), South Alabama (315) and Louisiana Monroe (316) are behind CCU.
