NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The Coastal Carolina women's golf squad moved up to second through 36 holes of the 2007 PUPS Big South Conference Women's Golf Championship, Apr. 10. The three-day, 54-hole event is being played at Coosaw Creek Country Club (Par 71-5,858 yards) in Charleston, S.C., Apr. 9-11.

The Lady Chanticleers posted the second-best round of the tournament with a 298 in the second round to sit at 605, but first-round leader Birmingham-Southern posted the lowest round of the event so far, a 287, to take a 17-shot lead into Wednesday's final round. Winthrop is in third at 630 after a second-round 317.

Freshman Aruka Felgueroso is currently fourth at 153, trailing Birmingham-Southern's Jill Stupiansky by seven shots.Junior Rachel Graves and freshman Johanna Rodert both posted one-over 72s in the second round and are tied for fifth at 154. Sophomore Ann Maness is currently 12th at 157, while senior Katy Heher is tied for 18th at 161.     

The final round of the event will start at 8 a.m., with Coastal going off with Birmingham-Southern and Winthrop, for the third consecutive day, starting at 9:40 a.m.
