Women's Golf Finishes Tied for 10th at El Tigre

Final Results

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The Coastal Carolina women's golf team finished tied for 10th with Iowa after shooting a 309 on the final day to finish with a 910 (303-298-309).

The team struggled on the day except for Damla Bilgic who capped off her best showing of the season with a one-over 73. She shot a three-day total 220 (73-74-73) to finish tied for 12th with a four-over.

CCU's top player Malene Krolboll Hansen struggled with an 8-over 80 to finish tied for 35th with a 227 (75-72-80).

Marie Lunackova shot a 79 on the third day of action to finish the three-day event with a 229 (74-76-79) and finished tied for 42nd. Stephanie Henning shot a solid 77 in today's action to finish with a 236 (81-78-77) and tied for 59th.

Victoria Parker, like Hansen, finished the day with an eight-over 80 for a three-day total of 239 (83-76-80) and finished the event tied at 68.

Washington led the top five teams in the event finishing with an 873 (295-298-280). Texas-San Antonio was only one stroke back at 874 (297-294-283).

Rounding out the top five were Wisconsin (879), Kennesaw State (896) and Kansas (898).

Now up for the women's program will be its first Sun Belt Conference Championship. The Championship will be held April 16-18 at the Fighting Joe at the Shoals Golf Course in Muscle Shoals, Ala. .
