Women's Golf Finishes Third at Hurricane Invite

Coastal Carolina's women's golf team shot a two-over 290 in today's final round of the Hurricane Invitational.

The Chanticleers finished third in the event with a three-day total six-over 870 (292-288-290). The Chants were only one shot behind second place Oklahoma (869) and four shots behind the events winning team, Miami (866).

CCU had two top-10 finishers. Sena Ersoy had her best event in her short career, finishing tied for fifth with a three-under 213 (72-71-70).

Frantiska Lunackova also had a top-10 finish, finishing tied for eighth with an even par 216 (73-72-71).

Malene Krolboll Hansen did not have the type of event she is used to, but she still finished 16th after finishing with a six-over 222 (72-76-74).

Marie Lunackova finished tied for 24th with a nine-over 225 (79-71-75) and Stephanie Henning was tied for 30th with a 10-over 226 (75-74-77).

The Chanticleers next event will be March 19-20 at the Briar's Creek Invitational in Johns Island, S.C. The College of Charleston will host the event.
