Women's Golf Third after First Round of Hurricane Invite

Coral Gables, Fla. -
Coastal Carolina women's golf team shot a four-over 292 during the first round of the Hurricane Invitational and will enter the second day of competition in third place.

Sena Ersoy (36-36) and Malene Krolboll Hansen (35-37) both finished the first round shooting even-par 72's and are tied for eighth place after the opening 18 holes.

Frantiska Lunackova shot a one-over 73 (36-37) and enters the second day of action tied for 18th. Stephanie Henning is tied at 28th after shooting a solid three-over 75 (36-39) and Marie Lunackova shot a seven-over 79 (40-39) and is tied for 56th.

CCU only trails 16th ranked Oklahoma who shot a three-under 285 and the event's host, Miami who shot and even par round of 288.

CCU is in front of 45th ranked Virginia Tech (295), Maryland (297), Barry University (299) and Penn State (300).

The Chanticleers are scheduled to tee off during Tuesday's second round at 7:30 a.m.
