MIAMI LAKES, FLA. The Coastal Carolina University womens golf team stands in 10th through two rounds of the Papa Johns Collegiate Golf Championship, Feb. 20. The 54-hole event, hosted by the University of Miami, is being played at Don Shulas Golf Club (Par 72- 6,319 yards).
After opening with a 313, the Lady Chanticleers rebounded with 301 in the second round, the sixth-best score of the day, to move up one spot in the team standings and just five behind Alabama in sixth place. North Carolina State has a 36-hole total of 597, leading East Carolina by two shots and host Miami by seven.
Coastal is led by freshman Ann Maness, who is tied for 15th at 151. Teammates Katy Heher and Lindsey Letzig are next for the Lady Chants in a tie for 30th at 154.
The tournament will wrap up play Tue., Feb. 21, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start for the final 18 holes.
