Women's Golf Shoots 301 on Final Day at FSU
Tallahassee, Fla. - The Coastal Carolina women's golf team shot a final round 301 to finish the three-day Florida State Match Up 11th with a total of 910 (303-306-301).
It was the best showing of the weekend for the Chanticleers as Malene Krolboll Hansen shot a 74 to lead CCU. She finished the tournament tied for 28th with a 221 (74-73-74).
Stephanie Henning shot a 76 on the third day finishing tied for 49th with a 230 (76-78-76). Marie Lunackova was only one shot back in 52nd following her 76 on the final day and finishing with a 231 (78-77-76).
Victoria Parker finished tied for 54th after her 80 during today's round left her with a 233 (75-78-80), and Barbora Bakova's 75 on the final day of action left her tied for 56th with a 234 (80-79-75).
Fourth-ranked and host Florida State finished -27 with a three day total of 837 to win their own event by 10 strokes with an 837. Thirteenth-ranked South Carolina finished -17 (847) followed by number 23 Texas A&M -14 (850). Number 20 Oklahoma was Even par (864) and Missouri finished +12 (876) to round out the top five.
The Chanticleers will be back in action Feb. 26-28 at the Edwin Watts Kiawah Island Classic hosted by the College of Charleston. The three-day tournament will be played at the Osprey Point/Oak Point Golf Course in Kiawah Island, S.C.
