KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Coastal Carolina sophomore Jessica Alexander shot even par on Friday and is currently tied for 10th place after one round at the Mercedes-Benz Women’s Collegiate Championships from the Holston Hills Country Club.
Alexander shot a 72 in the first round and put together a very steady performance by making par on 14 of 18 holes. The Riverview, Fla., native also had birdies on the fifth and 12th hole.
“I thought Jessica had a really solid round today, but she still left a lot out there,” Coastal head coach Katie Quinney said. “I think the next 36 holes will be even better for her and I expect her to have a great finish.”
