GREENVILLE - Coastal Carolina sophomore Lena Schaeffneris 10th overall at the Lady Paladin Invitational after shooting an even-par 72 on the second round of play at the Furman University Golf Course.

Despite Schaeffner's even-par day, the Chanticleers fell four spots in the team standings to a tie for 10th. Coastal's four scorers combined to card a 16-over 304, bringing its two-round total to 605 (301-304). Georgia Regents Augusta leads the event with a two-day tally of 573 (285-288) followed by Clemson (287-291=578) and Wisconsin (290-294=584).

Schaeffner's even-par 72 was the third par or better round of her Coastal Carolina career. The sophomore, who teed off on the par-3 fourth hole, was 2-under through her first 11 holes with the benefit of two birdies on par-4s. She posted her first bogey on the par-4 15th hole, but immediately responded with a birdie on 16. However, she was unable to erase bogeys on 17 and 18 as she parred her final three holes of the day. Schaeffner is 10th in the 90-competitor field with a 36-hole score of 1-over 145 (72-73).

Marissa Hinchman and Frida Castilloshot matching rounds of 76 on the day to stand tied for 30th and 37th, respectively, on the individual leaderboard. Hinchman's day featured a birdie on the par-4 17th and 13 pars to bring her two-round score to 151 (75-76). Castillo carded 14 pars on the afternoon, but was undone by four bogeys. Castillo enters the final round with a score of 152 (76-76).

Nadia Luttner, a junior, is tied for 63rd overall after posting an 8-over 80 on the day to move her two-round score to 157 (77-80). Redshirt freshman Brooke Kochevaris tied for 69th on the individual leaderboard. Kochevar turned in a 10-over 82 over the second round, bringing her two-day tally to 159 (77-82).

The tournament concludes with a final 18 holes of play on Sunday.
