Vail, Colo. - Windy conditions at Red Sky Golf Club pushed the Coastal Carolina women's golf team into a tie for seventh after shooting a 25-over 313 Tuesday.

Jessica Alexander leads the Chanticleers after firing a four-over 76, putting her in a tie for sixth place, five back of the lead. The 6,236 yard par 72 course saw the field average move from 77.10 on Monday to a 79.94 on Tuesday due to windy conditions.

After firing an opening round 69 to put her in a tie for the lead, Kaitlin Higginbotham shot an 81 putting her in a tie for 14th heading into the final round Wednesday. Frida Castillo and Courtney Boe each shot a 78 while Brittany Henderson rounded out the Chanticleers scoring with an 83.

Coastal Carolina is only nine strokes behind overall leader Oregon who has a combined score of 601 leading Mississippi and Denver by two strokes. You can follow the Chanticleers final round live at Golfstat.com
