Women's Golf Completes Final Round at Mercedes-Benz Championship

Knoxville, Tenn. - The Coastal Carolina women's golf team finished the final day of competition at the Mercedes-Benz Championship held at the Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn.

The Chants carded a final round 305 to finish the event 14th with a 41-over 893 (295-293-305).

Sena Ersoy, playing in her first event as a Chanticleer, led the way for CCU with a final round 74 giving her a three-day total of 220 (76-70-74) placing her at seven over and tied for 34th.

Senior Malene Krolboll Hansen finished the day's third round with a 76 and finished one stroke back of Ersoy with a 221 (72-73-76) and tied for 40th (+8).

Marie Lunackova finished the season's first event with a 224 (71-75-78) tied for 52nd (+11). Stephanie Henning had a consistent event shooting a three-day total 228 (76-75-77) and finished tied for 68th (+15). Victoria Parker finished the tournament with a 242 (80-83-79) to finish 82nd.

The Chanticleers will be back in action next week at the Golfweek Conference Challenge. The event will be played in Vail, Colo., at the Redsky Ranch Course Sept. 25-27.
