BRYAN, Texas - The Coastal Carolina women's golf team places 10th in the Texas A&M "Mo" Morial Invitational at the Traditions Golf Club.

Texas (885) held on to win the tournament by two strokes over Auburn (887) Rounding out the field was Kentucky (914), North Texas (917), Florida State (918), Texas A&M (921), Oklahoma (923), Michigan State (929), Tulane (931), Coastal (936), UTSA (947) and Texas A&M "B" Team (958).

Coastal shot a 305 which was the sixth best round shot today. Leading the way for the Chanticleers was Kaitlin Higginbotham who fired a 75 today while finishing 26th place. After carding an 85 on day one, freshman Frida Castillo carded a 76-75 the last two days to finish in a tie with teammate Jessica Alexander for 37th place. Brittany Henderson fell from a tie for 25th to a tie for 46th after carding an 84. Eugenia Guerra bounced back from an opening round 87 to shoot an 81 on day two and broke into the 70s with a 79.

Auburn's Carlie Yadloczky was the medalist with a score of 213. Her total set a new tournament record for the lowest 54-hole score. Auburn freshman Victoria Trapani also broke a tournament record after posting a final round of 68, the lowest in tournament history.

The Coastal women return to action on Monday when they travel to Vail, Colorado to compete in the Golfweek Conference Challenge at Red Sky Golf Club.
