A day after Brittany Henderson carded her low round of the season, fellow senior Jessica Alexander turned in her best round of the season with a 5-under 67. Alexander (70-67=137) trails Baylor’s Haley Davis 67-69=136) by a single stroke on the individual leaderboard. Alexander owned the low round of the day as she posted five birdies to go with 13 pars. She played the front nine 4-under and added an additional birdie on the par-5, 525-yard 14th hole.

In addition, Alexander’s 67 is the third-lowest round in Coastal Carolina history, trailing only rounds of 66 by Aruka Felgueroso and by Alexander herself. The Lakeview, Fla., native holds seven of the 20 lowest rounds in program history.

Henderson stands fifth in the 96-competitior field with a 2-under 142 (69-73) tally. She played her second at round 1-over after turning in two birdies and 13 pars against three bogeys.
