Women's Golf Completes Play at 3M Invite
Augusta, Ga. - The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team completed play at the 3M Invitational with a 312 on the final day of competition.
Once again, Malene Krolboll Hansen was the low-scorer for the Chanticleers coming into the clubhouse with a five-over 77. She finished the event with a 224 (71-76-77) which placed her tied for 18th overall.
Marie Lunackova shot a six-over 78 on the final day of action to complete her tourney score with a 231 (75-78-78) which had her tied for 43rd.
Also coming in with a 78 during today's round was Victoria Parker. She had a three-day total of 238 (80-80-78) which had her tied for 60th.
Stephanie Herring shot an 11-over 83 to finish with a 243 (79-81-83). She was tied for 67th. Damla Bilgic shot a seven-over 79 to finish with a 245 (80-86-79) and was tied for 71st.
The Chanticleers as a team finished the event tied for 13th with a total 932 (305-315-312).
The top three ranked teams in the field finished 1-2-3. 23rd-ranked Purdue won the event with a 14-over par 878. 33rd-ranked Tennessee was just behind with an 18-0ver par 882 and 45th ranked Augusta finished third with a 21-over 885.
The Chanticleers have one more regular season event to play in before competing in their first Sun Belt Conference Tournament. CCU will travel to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to play in the El Tigre Invitational hosted by the Iowa Hawkeyes. The tournament is scheduled for April 2-4.
