    SORRENTO, FLA. --  Coastal Carolina University's women's golf team moved up four spots in the final round and finished third at the 2010 UCF Challenge, March 1-2. The two-day, 54-hole tournament was played at RedTail Golf Club (Par 72 - 6,301yards) in Sorrento, Fla.

    Coastal tied for the second-best final round with a 304 to move from a tie for seventh after 36 holes to third with a 54-hole score of 904. No. 24 Texas A&M won the team title at 893, two shots ahead of runner-up Georgia State at 895. College of Charleston was fourth at 905, with Baylor rounding out the top five at 905.

    The Chants had two players finish in the top 10, led by freshman Jessica Alexander at 6-over 222, good for a tie for eighth. Senior Aruka Felgueroso was next in a tie for 10th at 7-over 223, while freshman Brittany Henderson posted a 9-over 153, good for a tie for 37th. Junior Alicia Grier was next in a tie for 44th at 18-over 234, while freshman Taylor Slagle, in her first team collegiate action, finished in a tie for 69th at 26-over 242. Texas A&M's Julia Boland was the individual medalist at 6-under 210, five shots ahead of teammate Sarah Zwartynski in second at 215.

    The Chanticleers are back on course Sunday-Monday, March 7-8, 2010 at the Administaff Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate in Augusta, Ga.
