CONWAY, S.C.- Coastal Carolina University senior womens basketball player Nikki Reddick (Hartsville, S.C./Hartsville) has been named the Choice Hotels Big South Player of the Week for her performance through games of Nov. 30, the conference office announced. Reddick has helped the Lady Chants to a 3-0 record for the second straight season. This is the eighth time in Reddicks career that she has been named the Big South Player of the Week.
Reddick averaged 18.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in three games. She scored 15 points and added four rebounds and three assists in a 76-48 win over Anderson Nov. 21 in the season opener. Reddick then led the Lady Chants with 19 points and had five rebounds and five steals in a 66-43 win over Campbell Nov. 24. She then exploded for 22 points, seven rebounds and two assists in Coastals 65-55 win over Wofford Nov. 28.
Reddick is only 74 points away from becoming Coastals all-time leading scorer. She also ranks third all-time in steals (202) and 10th in assists (237).
The Lady Chants travel to Greenville, N.C., to compete in the U.S. Cellular Classic Dec. 6-7. The Lady Chants face the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in the first round Dec. 6, at 1 p.m.
