A Look At The Ospreys
North Florida is off to a rough start in the 2011-12 campaign as the squad has opened with a 0-5 record. The Osprey's have played two high major opponents in Ole Miss (L/59-68) and Missouri (L/46-67). Senior guard Brittany Kirkland leads the team in scoring as she averages 11.2 points per game. Center Larkira Jones, a junior, is the top Osprey rebounder averaging 6.2 boards per game.

Chanticleer point guards Angelica Henry and Shatia Cole terrorized Western Carolina with their speed, defensive tenacity and shooting ability. Henry and Cole each scored 16 points (a career-high for Henry) against the Catamounts on a combined 9-of-17 shooting from the floor and 12-of-17 from the charity stripe. Henry scored 11 points during a 16-2 Coastal run to end the first half and Cole scored seven points in the opening eight minutes of the second half. Additionally, Henry recorded five thefts in the game.

Coastal Carolina's post players have made the presence know this season with dominate play down low. Through four games, the Chants have only allowed their opponents to score 74 points in the paint (36.6 percent of total points scored). Conversely, Coastal has scored 140 points in the paint (49.6 percent of total points scored). Additionally, Coastal post trio of Taylor Epley, Shanika Maddox and Courtney Grambley have combined for 20 blocks. Epley leads the group with a career season-high tying 11 rejections. Grambley has turned away five shots and Maddox four.
