CONWAY - As we count down to tipoff, each day GoCCUSports.com will profile the lighter side of the Chanticleer Basketball teams. Today's student-athletes to be profiled are Tre'von James and DJ Hunter.

Tre'von James

  1. What is your personal goal for this season? Help the team when help is needed and keep them focused.
  1. What got you started in basketball? My cousin Tremaine Singletary.
  1. What is your plan after college, if you do not become a professional athlete? My plan is to be a professional in computer science, and work on computers.
  1. Where is your hometown? Darlington, South Carolina.
  1. What motivates you on the court? The competition.
  1. How do you help the team stay focused during the season? Make sure they are giving 100% effort at all times.
  1. Who is your role model? Carmelo Anthony.
  1. What would you say to your biggest fan? Thank you very much for supporting me.
  1. Do you have a motto or saying you live your life by? Practice Hard, Play hard!
  1. What is your biggest pet-peeve? Disrespect.
  1. What is your favorite pre-game meal? Chicken.
  1. Do you have any superstitions? None.
  1. What teams are you most excited to play this year? Clemson, College of Charleston, and High Point.
  1. What is your most favorite moment in your basketball career? When I caught an alley- oop in Lower State.
  1. If you could be an animal what would you be? A lion. 

DJ Hunter

  1. What is your personal goal for this season? To help my team achieve the goal we all want.
  1. What got you started in basketball? My dad and my older sister.
  1. What is your plan after college, if you do not become a professional athlete? I want to become a physical therapist.
  1. Where is your hometown? Florence, South Carolina.
  1. What motivates you on the court? My daughter and my granddaddy.  
  1. How do you help the team stay focused during the season? Staying humble and focused and taking it day by day.
  1. Who is your role model? My mother.
  1. What would you say to your biggest fan? Success doesn't come easy. You have to work for it.
  1. Do you have a motto or saying you live your life by? Put God First.
  1. What is your biggest pet-peeve? People who cannot dress.
  1. What is your favorite pre-game meal? Eggs Up!
  1. Do you have any superstitions? I do not like to split the pole.
  1. What teams are you most excited to play this year? North Carolina and High Point.
  1. What is your most favorite moment in your basketball career? Winning the state championship my junior year of high school.
  1. If you could be an animal what would you be? A dolphin.
