Women's Basketball's Stull Named Big South Freshman of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C - Coastal Carolina University women's basketball freshman Amanda Stull (Rushville, Ind./Rushville Consolidated) was selected the New Balance Big South Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced, for games during the week of Jan. 15-21.  This is Stull's second honor this season and the fifth time a Coastal freshman has received the award this year.

Stull averaged 6.5 points per game as the Lady Chanticleers went 1-1 on the week.  In the two game span, she shot 86 percent from the floor (6-of-7) and grabbed five rebounds and five steals.  She also dished out two assists and had two blocks on the week.

On the season, Stull is averaging 4.3 points and 3.4 rebounds a game.  She also is third on the team with 39 assists.

Coastal (10-6, 1-2 Big South) hosts Birmingham-Southern Monday, Jan. 22 at 5 p.m., in Kimbel Arena.
