Scouting Radford
Although Radford had a rough start to the 2009-10 season, posting a 1-10 record out of conference, they are making up for it in Big South with a 4-1 record, placing them in a tie for second. Most recently, Radford defeated Presbyterian 59-34 and UNC Asheville 61-50. In both games, 5-10 junior Denay Wood played a crucial part in the victories by averaging 14.0 points and shooting 56 percent in both games. That earned her Big South Player of the Week this week (Jan. 19). Wood is second on the team is scoring 8.4 points per game and 4.9 rebounds. Coaching Match Up

On the other hand, Radford is led by Tajama Ngongba who in her second year both at Radford and as a college coach. Ngongba has compiled a 15-29 record with the Highlanders. The two coaches have only met twice and Ngongba took both games in the two meetings.
Series vs. Radford
Series Record: Radford leads 37-12
Radford has been fairly successful against Coastal taking a 37-12 lead and a 15-10 series lead in the LeForce era. In the past eight meetings in four years, the Highlanders have outscored the Chants 65.1 to 58.3.
22 Seconds is all it Takes for Grochowski

With 18 seconds left in the game against Winthrop, Coastal found itself down by one point 55-54. Sydnei Moss got a rebound off of a miss free-throw, pushing it up the court to find Grochowski in the corner. Without taking a shot in over two hours, Grochowski swished a three-pointer that put the Chants up 57-55, and led them to its second Big South, 59-57.
Double Time for Reynolds
