Four Women and One Man Compete at Winthrop Classic

Rock Hill, S.C.- The Coastal Carolina women's cross country team had four runners and the men's team had one compete in the 4K Winthrop Classic Friday, October 14. 

Korey Larson (Sanbam, NY/Niagara Wheatfield (Erie CC)) was the only Coastal male to compete in the event.  He finished with a time of 19:44 in the 6K run, earning him 27th place. 

Junior Nikki Jasperson (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Luers) was the first Lady Chanticleer to cross the finish line with a time of 15:45 giving her 30th place out of 87 runners.   

Also running for Coastal was sophomore Keli Jo White (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth) who notched 47th place with a time of 16:15, freshman Peggy Busbee (Aiken, S.C./South Aiken) clocked in at 16:47 giving her 57th place and freshman Katheryin Zenowitz (Groton Long Pt, Conn./Robert E. Fitch Senior High School) finished in 63rd place with a time of 17:22.   

Both teams are back in action Friday, October 28 when they travel to Charleston Southern for the Big South Championships.
