Coastal Carolina Men’s and Women’s Cross Country on the Move This Weekend

CONWAY, S.C. – Both the Coastal Carolina University men’s and women’s cross country team will be in action this weekend as they will be traveling to participate in the College of Charleston Invitational at 6 p.m on September 3rd.

The men's cross country were picked for third place in Big South Conference preseason poll. And the women’s cross country was chosen as the preseason favorites by the Big South Conference. Last year the Chants men’s program ended the season in third place, but senior Terah Kipchiris ( Kitale, Kenya/Saboti Secondary (Kenyatta) was awarded Runner of the Year for the second consecutive season. While the Lady Chanticleers have won three championships in a row, including in 2003, which was hosted by Coastal. Senior Anne Marie Moustinga (Galati, Romania,/Radu Negru) will be going for her third straight individual crown last season.

The next meet for the Coastal Cross Country teams will be a run in the UNC Wilmington Seahawk Invitational on Saturday, September 11 at 10 a.m.
