Men's Cross Country Picked Second in Preseason Poll

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina men’s cross country team was picked to finish second in the Big South Conference, the league office announced Wednesday morning. Liberty was picked to repeat as conference champions, receiving all 16 first-place votes. The preseason poll is voted on by the league's coaches and sports information directors.

High Point was tabbed to finish third followed by Winthrop, VMI, Radford, UNC Asheville and Charleston Southern.

The Chants open the 2007 season at the Covered Bridge Open in Boone, N.C., Aug. 31. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m.
