Men’s Cross Country Team Recognized for Academic Achievements

CONWAY, S.C.- Coastal Carolina men’s cross country team was recognized for its outstanding achievements in the classroom this past semester by the United States Cross Country Coaches Association, Friday, Mar. 4 by being named to its 2004 All-Academic Cross CountryTeam.

The Coastal men’s team was ranked among the top twenty-five nationally with collective team grade point average of 3.20. Senior Terah Kipchiris (Kitale, Kenya/Saboti Secondary (Kenyatta)) was a member of the 2004 Big South Cross Country Academic Team for his grade point average of 3.7 in psychology.

Coastal men’s track and field team is in action this weekend as it travels to the Wilmington, N.C. to participate in the inaugural "Battle of Beach" hosted by the North Carolina-Wilmington.
