The Chanticleers' top six finishers turned in career days as each turned in person record on the 8K course.

Men's Cross Country Set to Host Big South Championships

The men's 8-kilometer race will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the women's 5-kilometer race will follow at 11:30 a.m.

2011 Outdoor Track & Field: Consistently the Chanticleers top freshman mid-distance performer... Kicked off the season with a third place finish in both the 1,500 (4:03.48) and 800m (2:01.48) at the Battle of the Beaches... Placed 11 of the 50 competitor field in with a time of 2:01.04 in the 800m at the Coastal Carolina Invitational for the Chants top 800m time of the season... Turned in season-best time of 16:35.78 in the 5,000m at the Big South Championship meet.

2010 Cross Country:
Competed in five meets for the Chanticleers... Crossed the finish line in 16:32 at the Gamecock Open for his best 5k time of the season... Turned in his best 8k time of 25:24.39 at the Big South Championship Meet... Finished 22nd in the 6k Coastal Carolina Invitational with a time of 20:24.90.

Prior to Coastal Carolina:
Four year letterwinner in cross country and track for the Sabres...Finished 4th in the 1600 meters at the 2009 North Carolina Outdoor State meet...Placed 4th in the 2009 North Carolina Indoor State championships for 1000 meter run...Named to North Carolina All-Region first team for junior and senior seasons...North Carolina All-Conference cross country runner his sophomore, junior and senior seasons...South Mecklenburg track MVP all four years...Holds personal best of 4:20.18 in the 1600 meters.
