Jamie McCarthy enters his first year as a volunteer assistant coach for the Chanticleers.

McCarthy enjoyed a successful athletic career while at Coastal Carolina. As track and field and cross country athlete, McCarthy was tabbed an All-Big South performer three times in cross country and once for track. McCarthy was also a key contributor to the Big South Champion track and field team in 2006. He currently holds the second best 1,500 meter time Coastal Carolina history with a 3:50.82.
