Jensen Named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

CONWAY, S.C.- Men's Track and Field student-athlete Jason Jensen (Myrtle Beach, S.C./Carolina Forest) has been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic team.To qualify for the team a student-athlete must maintain a 3.25 grade point average and qualify for the NCAA Preliminary Round.

Jensen is the lone Chanticleer to be named to the team and one of nine Big South Conference representatives.

During the 2010 season Jensen finished runner-up in the hammer throw at the Big South Conference meet with a throw of 197' 6", was twice named BSC athlete of the week, and finished 23rd at the NCAA East Preliminary Round. His season best of 202' 3" came at the Georgia Tech Invitational and ranks number three all time in the Chanticleer record books. Jensen maintains a 3.557 grade point average in the Business Management program.
