Men's Track and Field's Watson Finishes 14th in the High Jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Coastal Carolina University sophomore Jacques Watson (Sumter, S.C./Sumter) finished 14th in the high jump at the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.

Watson cleared on his final attempt at the opening height of 6'10.75", but missed on three attempts at 7'0.25". He finished a tremendous season where he cleared 7'3.25" at the Florida Relays and finishing third at the NCAA East Regionals in Greensboro, N.C.

Scott Sellers of Kansas State took home the national title, clearing 7' 5" (2.26m), making it on his first leap at all six heights before missing all three times at 2.31m.
