PHILADELPHIA, PA Coastal Carolinas mens track and field wrapped up competition at the nationally-renowned Penn Relays with three top-10 finishes on the final day, Sat., Apr. 29. The group battled windy conditions at historic Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pa.
Redshirt sophomore Thomas Jordan (Lebanon Valley, Pa./Cedar Crest) finished fourth in the championship javelin flight with a throw of 2266 (69.05m), his second-best performance of the season. Freshman Kyle Hoddy (Griswold, C.T./Griswold) finished fifth in the college javelin bracket with a throw of 1972 (60.10m). Junior Galen Jones (Evans, Ga./Lakeside) finished sixth in the college hammer throw bracket with a throw of 1893 (57.69m), with junior Tommy Sugishita (Arroyo Grande, Calif./Arroyo Grande (Moorpark JC)) finished 21st with a distance of 1727 (52.61m).
The Chanticleers will compete at the Duke Twilight Sunday, May 7.
