Coastal Carolina's Jason Jensen has been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week, the League announced Wednesday, April 28.

 

Jensen, a sophomore from Myrtle Beach, S.C., set a meet and facility record with a mark of 198' 1" (60.39 meters) in the hammer throw at the Coach O Invitational in Troy, Ala. over the weekend.  His toss was the fourth-best throw in Coastal Carolina history and is currently ranked No. 2 in the Big South and 26th in the NCAA East Region. Jensen also took third in the shot put at Troy with a toss of 47'3" (14.40 meters).

 

The Chanticleers will travel to Lynchburg, Va. as they will participate in the Liberty Twilight on Thursday, April 29.
