Men's Track Wraps Up Competition at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Coastal Carolina men's track and field team finished the final day of competition at the Penn Relays on Saturday, April 28.   “In regards to our team performance we are starting to show that we have a strong and deep team,” head Coach Jeff Jacobs said. I was pleased with our performance this weekend. I think now we have set new records in just about every relay. That is exciting because most of these athletes will be back next year and we can only continue to improve and get stronger as a team.”   Two Coastal athletes finished competition in field events on Saturday. Kyle Hoddy (Griswold, C.T./Griswold) took home an 11th place mark of 193-05 in the javelin.   Jacob Edelman (Dryden, N.Y./Dryden) placed 17th in the hammer throw with a mark of 173-00. He is currently ranked fifth in the event on Coastal’s All-Time list.   The Chanticleers will return to action next week when they head to Durham, N.C. on Sunday, May 6 to compete in the Duke Twilight.
